I just got a wonderful idea to use ALL my photos I've ever taken! I know, ambitious isn't it? It's quite simple; I want to digitize my entire photographic catalog/history/whatever you call it. I kept it all organized in very strict chronological order, and I want to create a website/blog of my story of learning photography. I want to write it all down. All my thoughts, reasoning, and self criticisms, as well as my technical understanding and tricks, will be recorded along with the images that spawned them.
I've got well over 5,000 negatives and prints to scan so it's totally the biggest project ever. I'll be like my own little Library of Congress scanning and archiving every single thing I can find that I took over the last...11 years. (I may have to skip around the high school yearbook photos, haha)
But I think the craziest part of all this is I can pretty much recall every single location, time, and reason I took all the photos I took. Everyone of them is a perfect visual cue of that moment in my left that allows me to bring that information to the surface and write it down for all of you ton read. There are SO many stories I can tell about my pictures. Imagine all the times I've bored you with my driveling about photo...this will be 100% that!!! -- but with visuals! Not only will this be moderately instructional, it will also be very personal, since I took a lot of pictures for reasons beyond their photographic merit.
OK I'm getting ahead of myself here, and a bit cocky (what else is new?), but that's my idea. And I love it.
I need a scanner!!!
