...are not debates at all!
Lets get all the candidates together on one stage shoot them with high powered truth syrums, and then let the audience ask them questions. There'll be no time limits so they can ramble on until the audience is satisfied and tells them to shut the hell up. And for safety measures they'll be tied up and blindfolded. The moderator need be only a non-partisan nurse to keep the flow of syrum going so there's never any doubt these folks are telling the truth.
And for the nation's sake these "truth-bates" will be aired on every public station available so everyone in the country can be informed equally.
