So recently I've been reading aaaalll my old entries and tagging them apropriately for easier browsing in the future. It's really time consuming! But at the same time I'm enjoying reading my old thoughts and emotions. At times it feels like I'm reading someone else's journal and I find myself laughing at the little quips and one-liners I used to drop in. I don't generally think I'm a very funny person, but I may change my stance on that. I can rant like the best of them. The only person I know who can rant better than myself is Betsy, but that may be only cause her vocabulary is far superior to mine :P (we can be bitter folk) I also keep finding all these annoying typos that I can't believe I didn't proofread. No, I'm not fixing them. I've also found that photobucket has deleted all the photos on my old account, so all those links are broken. There must be a dozen or so posts with missing pictures...annoying.
I really wish LJ would generate a search capability to search the text of all one's past entries. Like in gmail. The site is almost 100% text and it's not searchable? Not even within my own journal? (paid option?) Sometimes I wanna read a post I wrote long ago and there is no good way to find it but read every fuckin' one only to find out I started reading a year after I made the damn post and wasted 2 hours of my life. (HAHA wasted time on LJ...oh no!) Still it'd be a hugely wonderful feature. I can't believe this site has been around for so long and does not have more user friendly features. I mean, tags are what three years old? TAGS!
On that note, I've tagged most entries with general topics and most of the people mentioned in them. Some tags are more like commentary on the mood of the post like 'gripe' or 'funny as hell.' I've only made it through to March '05 so there's a lot more to go. The trend is, when girls or art projects get heavy the posting jumps a lot, haha.
Ok it's about time to get the hell outta the office.
