The smoke's shadow lingered as if it carried that essential spark vital to percieved free will before dissipating into the obscurity of night. He idly flexed his toes, considering briefly if he was capable of a sustained running foray into the moist morning air. It was a brief consideration indeed and a second lingering cloud hesitated, too, for a moment seemingly yearning to hold time longer than its natural allotment.
