Exam Prep, Day 2

Aug 06, 2005 12:27

No, there's no day 1 - that's because it was swallowed by THE PROJECT. THE PROJECT is my outline for the Criminal Law course I've been taking this summer, what was yesterday a 64 page monstrosity. So, for those of you considering law school, let me just give you my tentative schedule for preparing for the exam on Tues.

Thurs., Aug 4:
Complete note-taking for any assignments left unfinished.
Fortunately, I've been good, and all I had left was the assignment due that day.

Fri.
Compile existing outline and class notes
You think this would be a fairly quick and painless process. I got started yesterday around 10 am, by the time I quit last night at 9 pm, I had only completed 13 pages. Most of this I believe, is due to a snafu in which I discovered three pages of notes didn't get transfered from the trial version of my outlining program to the complete version. Jihad lalalalala!

Sat.
Finish compiling outline and classnotes
Today seems to be going much factor, I think this is mainly due to having an entire day's worth of practice, the fact that my notes got better as I learned what was important, and that fact that none of my notes, thus far, are missing. The goal is to quit at around 8 or 9 tonight.
Drink myself into stupor (anyone interested, just ring me up)

Sun.
Go over my outline and the commercial outline.
Revise my outline to include in important or interesting information from the commercial outline
Meet w/ Carmen to talk about principles of the criminal law and test taking strategies
Begin working on practice questions
Mon.
Work on practice questions
Meet with classmates to compare outlines and discuss questions.

Tues.
Distill outline into super-mega-attack form - 5 pages or less.
Take test
Hookers and drugs. ;)
