her long ,raven black hair fell lightly down to frame her face, one side draped over her right eye and the other pulled back behind her ear revealing her cheak. she had an effortless beauty about her, an aura if you will, she was that rare natural type of beautifull, the type that not matter how much make-up she wore or what time it was she could still leave you breathless.
the cigarette she held tight in her lips slowly curled smoke into the air like a hand with long whispy fingers grasping for the sky just before it fadded away into a halo surrounding her. she leaned against the wall with her arms crossed in front of her, her eyes fixed on me, the look was piercing but still had its warmth, the look allowed me to see her life story, a story of pain and joy, of love and loss. she slowly raised her right hand to pluck the cigarette from her lips, "hey..." that one word, not even a whole phrase, shook me to the core.
how do i respond? what should i say? i knew what i wanted to say, i wanted to screem
'who are you? no, what are you? you cannot possible be of this world, no, this existance! you goddess, you amazon, why have you lowered yourself to my level? you ARE beauty, you embody all that is good in this rechid world. i love you, with body and soul i proclaim from moutain on high i love you!!'
but what came out of my rechid mouth was, "hey.." what else could i have done?
she smiled a simple smile and straightened up and began to walk past me.
what can i do? i have to talk more to her, i have to stop her and ask 'how can you possible be this extraordinary?' but just as she brust past my shoulder she said, " see ya later...kay?" then she slowly raised her cigarette back to her lips and strutted away into the sea of normalcey, that because of this vision of perfection, i have now grown to dispise that sea.
i have learned one valuable thing from this experience, love is not an emotion, it is not some hallmark card you can buy for one another, it is an attitude, and if you have that attitude you are unstoppable
