... Eh? The hell I'm supposed to do with this shit book?

[that comment comes from a man who's yet to realize what he really has in his possession. There's the sound of a ruffle as he shakes the offending item, and then he's crunching his way through the forest, complaining all the while]

Shit, it's cold. Where did I end up now? A winter island ( Read more... )

[She laughs.] I could tell from what Mr. Brook told me and how Captain Usopp talked about your adventures once he wasn't exaggerating. To be honest most I know really about him is from what Mr. Brook and Captain Luffy said and what I deduced from a day I met him while he was buying eggs for ammo.

I'm still impressed about how you all made it so far in that Grand Line against such frightening enemies without going in a murdering rampage. [She sounds honestly impressed.]

Well, I wouldn't say it's randomly. Something this big couldn't be just casual, however by the way things are that would be the most logical way of thinking. The ones doing the experiments seem to be trapped here just like us and in fact their official objective seems to be to find a way to travel back to worlds without depending in the force of this place. It can be a lie but, without proofs against it, it can be the truth as well.

Also it seems it's not just them but another group is out there and they don't seem to want to help us positively either. It just seem to complicated to be merely "brought here to be experimented on" in my opinion. But maybe I'm just overthinking.

I can always add my own stories if you ever want a clearer picture. I'm not much of a story-teller like Longnose, but I'd be honored to assist a lady.

[laughs a bit at her tone] It feels like our second job is to keep the real monsters from rampaging.

Of course you're right, Luka-chan! You're so logical! Ah, if you don't mind me asking, have any of the groups found a way to leave yet?

Oh, I would love to hear about those stories. I do plan to ask all of you if the occassion comes to that, I like stories about adventures and your world is really fantastic to me. Unfortunately I don't have much to say about my world in that matter, but I can return the favor with songs I suppose.

[Blushes a bit at the compliments, Sanji really is a charmer.] Uhm, well... If they have they aren't saying anything, though I doubt it. I don't believe they are just trying to find that just to get themselves and everyone back home. Specially seeing we are placed inside a barrier and they are outside and there's some kind of power-cap here that makes people not be at their full strength those with powers of any kind. Then again I'm more interested in what is bringing us here than in those groups.

You don't need to repay us, though I would love to hear your songs one day! [rubs his chin] I'm sure Brook could play accompaniment for you on any instrument you need.

[anything to make a lady feel appreciated. but she says something that stops Sanji cold, and he looks down sharply at the book. He might've skipped over that part in the guide]

Power-cap?

Indeed, Mr. Brook and me already talked about doing a duet together or something like that for your crew. I'm not sure when but personally I'm just waitting for him to settle in properly and all. Also apparently you all are arriving here at a good rhythm, it would be much better to do it for the whole crew so it may be better if we wait a bit.

Yes, it seems there's a power-cap though I'm not sure how much it affects us as I have no special powers. It seems it's just low enough so that we can't break the barrier but apparently is still high enough to also defend ourselves and fight from what I've read.

That's a wonderful idea, Luka-chan! I was planning on throwing a dinner party once Brook came back, but maybe I can wait for Robin-chan and Franky to get here, too.

Heh. That'd explain why Luffy and the Marimo haven't broken out of here yet.

Yeah... Then again there are never too many parties, are there? At least I never get tired of singing so I suppose we could do it and when more people come just do it it again.

Yes... Uh... Marimo?

It would be a delight to have you for any party we have! I'll make sure to cook you something extra special when the time comes~! ♥ What does Luka-chan like to eat?

Huh? Oh-- just a nickname I came up with for Zoro.

Oh, anything is fine. I don't need to eat so I don't have any favourite dish, though I like tuna but really anything would be fine with me.

Ah, okay. I thought it was another member of the crew.

Hm? But surely a growing girl as yourself needs plenty of food!

I don't grow. And I only eat food to store some extra energy but I really don't need it to keep living.

Ah-- Is Luka-chan not human then?

Reply

lukanightfever December 5 2009, 22:05:46 UTC
Ah, no, I'm an android. Uhm... Like your friend Franky only that I was never human before and I'm completely mechanic. I can still eat and drink and do basically everything humans do, my creators made me so I was as human as possible.

You're really kind, Mr. Sanji! I shall take that you're the cook of the crew then? Captain Usopp and Mr. Brook never really told me each member's occupation. Or is it that you just like to cook?

oda_hates_me December 5 2009, 22:36:27 UTC
No, you're right! I'm the cook. Usopp's the sniper, Brook's the musician. Luffy's the captain, Nami-san's our navigator, the Marimo is the first mate, Franky's our ship wright, and Chopper's our doctor.
