[Someone's cooking. It's fairly obviously from the steady CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! the journal picks up, the knife a constant drum against the cutting board. There's also the soft bubbling from what is presumably a pot of water on the stove. A creaky oven door is opened before something metal slides in. A shame the journal can't pick up smells, or can't see what's being made. It's delicious, honest.
The constant beat of vegetables being diced abruptly starts to slow, however, spiraling down, down, down, until the noise halts completely. And then it's just quiet except for that bubbling in the background.
The journal might pick up what sounds like a sob or soft sniffle. A low "Damn it, Vash." and "You shitty gunman." it's not supposed to hear. The sound of a knife clanking painfully against the floor because someone dropped it.
And then after a moment the cutting resumes, fast and seemingly angrier than before.]
