Sanji sees Selphie much like a cheerleader of sorts - always looking on the bright side, and always doing what she can to brighten everyone else's stay in Luceti. Which he appreciates a lot. There's so much doom and gloom in this place, any ray of sunshine is much appreciated. It also keeps him from focusing on his own darker matters - when he's around Selphie, he's much less likely to quietly mope. With all the energy she has, there's no time for it.
