FAREWELL AND GOODNIGHT
hello everyone. first of all, this is a very difficult thing to do for me, so to begin, i want to dispel all rumours that may be going around and to inform those people who have been out of the loop. yes it is true that our cure the rocketship will no longer be around, and i will be continuing my musical career picking up bass guitar permanently for my friends in the bled after doing a few tours as a temporary member. by no means was this an easy decision for me.
i have put my heart and soul into our cure for the past two years or so and have loved every second of it. from all the great times we had playing shows and all the people we have met, down to playing in front of 4 drunk old men at a bar in yuba city california, they are all memories that i will keep. but when it comes down to it, i feel i personally have excerted far too much energy to be where we currently are as band. i have no animosity towards anyone else in this band as i hope that they can respect my decision as well. orin, noah and bryan are my true best friends and i will support them in their future musical careers or anything else they choose to do. i love them with all of my heart. they are all very talented musicians and i am very lucky to have been able to make music with them. in fact, they have a current unnamed project with a few other friends which will hopefully debut soon. i actually think that the songs they have written (with regard to genre) are better than anything our cure put together. so please be on the look out for that.
this has easily been the hardest decision of my life and hope that all of you can respect it.
to all of the people that have supported us, and myself, i wholeheartedy thank you. also a big thank you to all of the bands who we have played/toured with and the friends i have made because of it. i truly believe that music is a unifying experience no matter what kind it is, where you are, and who you are with.
as for a final show or anything, no plans have been made, but check back to see if anything comes up. until then, i wish everyone a happy holidays and a happy new year. again, i thank you all for everything.
