a show
last night isthmus played with xeper, disappearer, and mobula. there was no bassist and they didn't even need one. the tiny ccas room was energized and vibrant with their sounds, and i think everyone in the audience felt a nice connection to the music and each other, like when you see any other really talented band. i'm consistently amazed by my boyfriend's songwriting abilities, and of course chris and matt's talents. i was definitely pleased and un-surprised to see the audience totally digging it, everyone bobbing their heads, and several dudes who knew what they were talking about coming up to noel with excellent feedback. i'm so proud of him for doing what he loves, but also for being fucking great at it. i love you, baby.
