Understand that I clicked on the link to this story having absolutely no idea what it was about, at the behest of karabou, and it didn't even matter because I understood everything I needed to understand about the characters and the story and the oh, this was beautiful and wonderful. And you have a new fangirl.

Thank you SO much! God, there's nothing like kind words about an old piece. You've brought a huge, idiotic grin to my face.
wonders if she can kidnap you into her fandom Would that be Harry Potter? I'm afraid I've been there, done that. It was nice while it lasted, though. And I've quite admired your icons.

Oh, no, I've been there, done that, too.
My fandom is Spider-man. So slashy (hey, it took most of thirty years for him to get married, that's plenty of space for a few m/m flings, eh?), so desperately in need of decent slash writers.
Scratch that. So desperately in need of decent writers, period. The vast majority of fics are scary Mary Sue "masterpieces," or really bad film scripts.

I'm a Daredevil fan. Matt and Peter are very slashy. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to write it.
Although, I've sketched a parody of that famous Kirsten Dunst/Tobey Maguire pic where she's kissing him upside down, except this time it's DD and Spidey and they've both got their masks half-way off. Heh. I keep meaning to clean it up and post it.
...But that's art, not fic. And in the end, I usually like to read fic more than look at art, so my sincere apologies.

Matt and Peter are very, very slashy, and they would make a hilarious couple. ("Kick me!" Wait, did you ever read that team-up?) I don't think anyone quite knows how to write it, though.
And hey, if you cleaned it up and posted it, comicslash would love you forever.
Re: Oh MY fucking god.skaljaMay 1 2004, 16:22:30 UTC
The problems are that:
a) Their personalities make for a good friendship, but a potentially explosive relationship, which can be hard to write; b) they're both happily married to women who are not, in fact, annoying and pointless (at least, Milla doesn't seem to be and MJ hasn't been since JMS took over and dared to write with the assumption that Peter Parker could grow up sometime, thank god), so no one really wants to write around that, either; c) despite living in the same city, operating in similar fashions, and teaming up frequently, they somehow give this vibe of operating in different spheres. Dunno why that is...
Um, anyway. *applause*

...They may rank as one of the slashiest impossible-to-slash pairings ever. There's something very wrong about that.
