Harry Potter Dæmons
I'm working on a fan fic dealing with the Harry Potter books, with my own twists and new plots so I don't bore the hell out of my readers, but the characters will all have dæmons. In the story, they will function similarly to the dæmons of His Dark Materials-- they are souls that live outside the body and take an animal form that represents their human's personality. After extensive research and much help from the Dæmon Forums, I've come up with settled dæmon forms for almost every character, as well as names.
Here's hoping I can do this!
By the way, for those of you who can't read the font and can't identify animals:
Harry and Aniwen, his Indian mongoose dæmon--
Mongoose dæmians* are passionate, tough, brave, curious, observant, agile, sneaky, and always fight for what they believe in, while treating people and things they dislike harshly and with little respect.
Draco and Athenais, his domestic ferret dæmon--
Ferret dæmians are playful, clever, perceptive, mischievious, moody, tenacious, and have far more curiousity than common sense; they are considered annoying by some and endearing by others.
Ron and Monea, his daschund dæmon--
Daschund dæmians are good planners, stubborn, courageous, spirited, outgoing, and loyal, though they are prone to jealousy and become irritable and destructive without anything to distract them.
Hermione and Florizel, her wombat dæmon--
Wombat dæmians are knowledgeable, grounded, deliberate, hard-working, curious, and surprisingly tough, though they can be a bit tempermental and tend to be perfectionists.
* - a dæmian is a person who has a dæmon.

Neville and Tonnova, his jackrabbit dæmon--
Jackrabbit dæmians can be timid and prone to self-doubt at times, but they are nice, down-to-earth and love a comfortable, safe home.
Luna and Chandrakant, her tree kangaroo dæmon--
Tree kangaroo (or dingiso) dæmians are unique in appearance and very imaginative and dreamy, though they can be too trusting and avoidant of reality.
Severus and Gormlaithe, his black caiman dæmon--
Black caiman dæmians are practical, cunning, and seem cold and emotionless, though a closer look reveals a fiery temper and a nurturing side that may surprise others.
Narcissa and Hibiki, her (Bengal) cat dæmon--
Domestic cat dæmians are appearance-conscious, willing to help others (though they must get something in return), and can be affectionate dispite being seen as apathetic by others.
Lucius and Liliathan, his golden eagle dæmon--
Golden eagle dæmians are distant, commanding, and ruthlessly ambitious, though they don't always consider the consequences of their actions.

Bellatrix and Betelgeuse, her rabid striped hyena dæmon--
Striped hyena dæmians are resourceful, strong, intimidating, and are very devoted to the few people who manage to gain their loyalty. When unhealthy, they become very aggressive and lose their sense of self-preservation.
Sirius and Aludra, his dingo-cross dog dæmon--
Dingo dæmians are loyal, opportunistic, resilient, independent, and territorial; as the dingo is crossed with a herding dog of some kind, this dæmian is also focused, intelligent, and protective of friends, but won’t be happy without a job to do.
Ginny and Gawain, her (unsettled) striped skunk dæmon--
Ginny doesn’t settle during the story, but this is a common form her daemon takes.
Skunk dæmians are friendly, helpful, and often shy, but have a ferocious (though short-lived) temper.
Remus and Romula, his clawless otter dæmon--
Clawless otter dæmians are introverted, secretive, empathetic, playful, and accepting of others, but often keep complaints and frustrations bottled up in order to prevent conflict among their friends.
Tonks and Nereus, her tayra dæmon--
Tayra dæmians are playful, unique, adaptable, sensitive, and when the chips are down, will fight tooth and nail for what they believe in.
