Catch Me VCR - Yunho and Changmin racing to get a girl, I think it was a car and a motorbike involved (I thought that Changmin don’t drive, must be on a flatbed tow truck hehehe). They both didn’t get the girl because the girl disappeared into a puff of smoke when they tried to reach for her. They wore the black jacket with LED lights and my first thought was,.. damn shit, it’s so cold in Korea and they wear the backless costume but it’s nice weather in Hong Kong and they are all covered up! I was wondering why their costume was different, turned out that Yunho’s jacket was unzipped, and he rectified it in the later part of the song.
Keep your head down - The intro part was so memorable as I saw Yunho’s perfect handstand, it’s really a work of art. I went looking for fancams of this again and again. The entire performance was so flawless, I squealed like a young fangirl (I’m normally quiet during concerts..so..). They went above the fans to the middle stage as well.. perfect.. The middle circle stage was raised to its maximum during its performance, and also rotated, so we really had very good views of the powerful dance.
all hail yungod.. this alone was worth the admission fee
Mirotic - They were wearing black concert tshirts with a red jacket. I cannot deny that I most prefer the 5 version of this song, but HoMin was not shabby at all. Dance steps were changed to fit 2, so of course it was not as nice as 5 - I really enjoyed Junsu’s dance in Mirotic. Still, I was so happy to watch one of my favourite songs Live.
O jung ban hup - Yunho took off his jacket for this song and was just wearing a white sleeveless shirt with gold accents. His arms are really a work of art. I’ve always loved this song and reading about how yunho said he nearly died performing this difficult song made me look out for it.
please excuse me while i get distracted by his neck porn
He looks very young in this pix right
Random thoughts.
- Yunho has much much stronger charisma than Changmin. His expressions were that much fiercer, dance steps that much more precise and energetic.
- Changmin was very wobbly in many of the songs, and I love all his mistakes. The live feel is better when it’s not all perfect. He’s so super cute when he makes mistakes. There was one song (I cannot remember which one) where he went off key so badly that he started on a totally different key later.
- No matter how sexy or slinky the girl dancers are, Yunho and Changmin are just very focused on their performance. A little bit of a pity since there was no sexual tension at all.
- There was very heavy fanchants on all the old db5k songs, and most of the newer TVXQ! Songs. It felt good to chant along
- At the beginning of the concert, we were given banners by million Cassiopeia, and obviously we couldn’t read Korean, but we just held up the banners when everyone else did so. Hubby and friend later told us that they were very amazed that the fans knew when to chant, and when to put up the banners. I suppose from their point of view, it was really amazing.. for sis and I, we just followed whatever the other fans did, but enough fans knew the exact timing that it seemed that a white ocean miraculously appeared. It was very obvious that yunho and changmin were very touched by the gesture, even though they must have expected it since it happens for every member at every concert and fanmeet.
Kudos to the fans who put in so much effort- Changmin was working very hard to endear himself to the crowd. One of the fans threw a giraffe plushie to the stage for him, and he hugged it for a long time. At the end of the concert, a pink hat plushie was thrown on the middle stage for changmin as well but he had already walked to the main stage. The dancers seemed to discuss it for a while and then made a decision to pick up the pink hat and passed it to changmin, who obligingly put it on as they exited the stage area.
- I seriously super duper loved all the mistakes changmin did, they made me so happy!
- Girlfriend said that yunho was not very good with directions, changmin and the dancers had to remind him when and where to move a few times.
- The poor emcee tried to do a good job, but didn’t fare very well as quite a fair bit of the hall was filled with Japanese fans who also understood Korean, and whatever TVXQ (seem to have) spoken were rather simple messages which were repeated numerous times - the I love you, I miss you, I thank you for the support kinda thing - messages that sounds ok when coming from the singers but only sounds silly when coming from an interpreter.
- Had eye contact with yunho. Now I know why fans spazz about things like this - you feel like it’s a privilege.
- Encore part was longer than I expected. Yunho especially danced and fool around a lot. This portion was when Changmin did all the fan service with the plushies, and one of them had water splashed on them.. cannot remember which one, think it was changmin but gotta rewatch fancams to be sure.
ok it was mainly yunho who got splashed
changmin was either too lazy, or there was something wrong with his scooter, his dancers had to push the scooter everywhere - encore portion. recall that fans were laughing about the snafu
- The concert gave me the feeling that Changmin is very smart - he is the one who has to sing the song in mandarin, he’s the one who made the fans go crazy by his little smattering on English “not yet” - how can 2 little words make us spazz so much.. recent memory of jaejoong’s English while promoting Mine.. but I digress..
- Yunho gave me the feeling that he’s a perfectionist and very competitive, and he’s very humble. He’s obviously a dance god, but when he makes those fancy moves, you can feel that a lot of work for the fans had gone into practicing to make it perfect.
- Yunho's stylist who decided on the transparent shirt is a freaking genius. it's so hot
- Changmin is by no means a poor dancer. Super duper props to him for doing pretty well when next to dancegodyunho. I guess this is why many of their newer choreography has changmin behind yunho, and not beside him, but if you only look at changmin, you would think he’s a pretty efficient dancer .. even when you see the two together, you can just tell that yunho’s that much more precise, energetic and emotive, but changmin’s no slob either. I was just rewatching sbs’s mirotic performance by db5k, the one where yunho and junsu both did handstands…. Seriously, that much sexy cannot exist in the same group…
- I’m more than happy with this concert, I expected something like 2 hours, but in the end we got 3 hours and 20 minutes, SO HAPPY!!!!!
- The Big East fans next to me already had concert tickets to Time Concert in Osaka in June!! Omg they are so efficient!
- Hubby and friend complained that they were surrounded by fans from China, who were screaming all the songs… as in, tonsil bursting screaming.. I’m just lucky that we sat near the Japanese group who were pretty demure, we could all enjoy the concert in peace.
- My friend told me that he heard rumours that yunho and changmin are not really close, and they just work together. Watching the concert, I feel that what they have is a lot of camaraderie, and if anything, changmin would be the one who has his own life outside TVXQ - yunho is just too invested.
- I could hear some fans making arrangements to follow the boys to the airport - in fact quite a lot of people left during the end of the encore, i suppose they wanted to get a good spot in the airport. The first stop from the event venue was the airport, and lots of people exited the train then. the boys must be so tired, flying in and out immediately after the concert
I'm grateful for our pretty good seats.. see the star on the top right, that's us :)
Yunho's scar is slightly visible in this pix.
Pouty leadershii is quite cute ne..
There's no reason for this pix other than the fact that i like to look at yunho's perfect bodyline when picking up water. Oh, and admire the zip detail on his top. is it my imagination or are the shoelifts very visible in this pic?
i labeled this pix as Yunho's distracting pose... go figure
Changmin and Yunho has to fly a lot in this concert. I dont know if it's the way they stand, or if yunho just have better upper body strength, but poor Changmin has to balance himself quite awkwardly
- I am looking forward to the dvd of this concert, I realize that dvds help me remember best. Fan photos are wonderful and fancams are great but sometimes shaky , so I just want to be able to revisit the concert in my memory, in one whole stretch.
i like this jacket
i realise that i sound like i'm a yunho stan, but actually i enjoyed both of them very much. admittedly i felt that yunho was a better performer, but changmin had my heart at Ting Hai :)
