This takes place both during and post 'War Games' when Stephanie Brown was "murdered" by Black Mask. I originally intended to make a fanmix summarizing the feelings of the entire Batclan, but it was too difficult.
There is a lack of songs with the message of, "Sorry I set you up for failure and you got murdered. My bad. Still kind of your fault, though." or, "Why does everyone get murdered while I'm incapacitated?", "I hardly knew you, but I totally murdered that guy who killed you. Twice.", and so on.
So, only those closest to Steph were added to the mix.
Cass: I'm playing this from the angle that there were romantic feelings between the girls. Rooftop dates and whatnot. "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" refers specifically to Batgirl 72-73 when Cass dies and is carried by the "ghost" of Steph.
Tim: Tim grieving over Conner more than Steph always bothered me thus I didn't really have much canon to work with. I made a brief allusion to his coldness with "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead". This song also refers to their relationship as Red Robin/Batgirl.
Steph: Dead! Was chosen because of how damn appropriate it is. It's almost hysterical in tone. The song is angry and self-depreciating like how I imagine Stephanie would have felt at the end. She asked Bruce "Was I really Robin", and he affirmed, but she was never given a memorial in the cave.

Calendar Girl takes place during Steph's little adventure to Africa. She's still healing and is haunted by dreams of 'dying', but she's alive.
