Abantey was a lot of fun. It was really cool how around campfire everyone started role-paying even more that usual. I did make some major mistakes though, and I hate how much I've been over analyzing them all since I got back. The problem with spending so much time with a bunch of people that you don't know very well is that eventually some differences will come up, and it was a lot harder to laugh those off than with Cluster 8, who I really got a chance to get to know. Also, I wish I was a lot less self conscious and better at acting. I was the only one there who wasn't involved in some type of theatre, and it really showed. I really envy the girls who have been RP practically their whole lives, and have gotten really good at it. Plus, Becky has a way of just looking at you and knowing what you're thinking, which can be really good, but also makes you just want to go hide under the table. Becky is awesome, but I do fell stupid and, I guess the only word I can come up with right now is ashamed, although it's not quite right, when she catches me doing something wrong.
I'm signed up for the drivers permit test... I took the drivers-ed way back before I left for New Jersey, and I don't remember any of the material. Gah, I told my mom that waiting so long wouldn't work.
And I also have homework to do. I really like reading, but for some reason books seem ten times worse that they would have been when you have to read them for school as opposed to for recreation. I do like the book The Scarlet Letter a little, it's just so slowly paced. The language is interesting, but not when it interrupts the flow or the rest of the paragraph. Someone needs to have told Nathaniel Hawthorne that 80 word sentences don't work unless they are very clear cut. Also, I hate having to take notes on specific things. When teachers tell me to do that I never know if I'm paying attention to the character because the author wants me to or because my teacher told me to.
I'm so glad that I don't have to go to camp this week. COSMOS and Abantey were really cool, but I need to relax.
