Okay, so it's been four years since I last posted on Livejournal.
Four years!
So what has changed since then?
Reading back my last archived post, I can see that I was
- stressed to the eyeballs - well, that's changed, happily.
- about to go through a merger - we did, and it was one of the reasons I was stressed to the eyeballs. I've now got a different job and have been very happy in it for the past year and a half.
- about to start a law course - that was fantastic and I really enjoyed it. Managed to emerge with good grades and an abiding interest in Contract Law.
- growing about fifteen chilli plants on my windowsill - they did very well too (at least, most of them did), and we had some good chillis off them.
and of course
- "still sort of single, but - well, that's another story, which may or may not come to anything but is consuming far too much of my mental energy right now"
Well, it did come to something. I married him in October and we are ridiculously happy.
We're also now living in a completely different part of the country, and it's a bit of a culture shock to me after London. I still commute to work in a city, but we now live in a town, up in the hills. I love it, but it's taking a bit of getting used to since it's the first time I haven't lived in a big city. My other half is from a village, so even this is quite a lot of hubbub for him.
So I thought it was time to restart a diary, to keep track of my attempt to settle down in the hills after my days of high living in the big city!
It's lovely to see people still around and read others' news, too - great to see you all.
