Sample Entry

Hey there everyone! latemarch  here! I asked you all if you wanted me to post a sample entry for you to look at, and here it is!

The only things we’d really like you to include in your entries are: title, entry number, author, fandom (if applicable), and genre, ratings/warnings, spoilers (if applicable), and word count. Feel free to add author notes (I ( Read more... )

Very nice! I love Arthurian legends, so this was a treat. If our entry is a continuation of a piece we are writing, I would suggest that it would be helpful to include a link to some type of table of contents for previous chapters...

Thank you for posting this. My question is say we have stories already going can our entries be just new chapters to those? Or do we have to start new stories completely and each of the 10 entries has to be a new thing or can they each be for example 10 new different chapters to something we already have going?

Also I agree with goddesofbirth about the table of contents.

I also like how you have said we're encouraged to include any music we used while writing or pictures etc because one of my favorite things is to see what a particular author was listening to when writing things and I think it makes it more a nice connection between author and reader.

So excited to get started with this and read what others have to offer. Again thanks for posting this sample. Is it October yet?!

Your 10 short entries can be from anything - whether you're just starting it or you're on your 52 chapter! Like goddessofbirth said, if you're continuing a story, it would be nice to include a link to the other chapters, but that's not required. Sometimes it is in fact, impossible. For instance - I have a lot of stories that I'm writing, and will post entries for, but I haven't posted anywhere else because they're unfinished. A small summary would be sufficient in that case.

That was quite an entertaining read. I wished there was more to read, you know so I could figure out who Gwalchmal is or where Penny knew about him.

Also, thank you for the heads up on how to post the sample entries for October.
