Man. I went through some old entries and I have to say...if one ever wants to feel better about their life in the present, all they have to do is go back in their journal. See how far they've come. Hopefully circumstances haven't become worse. Or if they have, hopefully they have more tools to cope and persevere and get through it stronger. I know my life has it's issues, but I feel more equipped to deal with it and move forward. Onwards, upwards. So to speak.
What have I learned over the years? Who the hell knows. I'll refer to a White Stripes song "Little Acorns" from their album, Elephant . If you don't understand, then it's time to get on board and listen to some White Stripes. They are now defunct, but Jack and Meg White created some excellent, thoughtful, identifying music and lyrics during their run as bandmates. I'm still obsessed with all things Jack White. Shiver. The man is brilliant. Which, is sexy to me. I'm attracted to things that have little to do with the physical. Sometimes, the person's ISMS and NESS can make them so physically attractive to me, I lose all common sense and control of my thoughts and feelings.
Tangent much. Brilliant men will do that though. Grab your waves and run you wild.
My first client isn't until 10 a.m. today. Later, I go to a work function, an annual company party where people receive recognition for their work and such. I will be honored with such an accolade this year, so I was told by one of the CEOs. I never go to these things, but thought it might be bad manners to forgo an event where I will be recognized by my superiors and peers. No? Oh well. I already picked out my attire and made the plan in my head. It's as good as done at that point. Gets out at 8 p.m. That is a late night for T. Especially when I have to get up and be back at work by 8 a.m. the next day. Oy. Whatever. I'm going to enjoy myself. Maybe. We'll play that one by ear.
Plateau like a motherfucker on the weight loss front. Fuck. I can't believe the hard work I put in and the scale is like "Nope. Work harder, bitch." Ok, I'll say that I am probably losing 1-2 lbs a week. However, I'm still big enough that the work I am putting in should yield about 4 or 5 lbs in loss per week. Tis not. At all. I've cut calories, switched up the workouts and intensities, etc. Everything a few trainers have suggested. Fuck it. Being a woman with all of these weird hormonal fluctuations. That's what I choose to chalk it up to.
The positive side to all of my hard work is that I haven't felt this amazing physically since my 20s when I used to be super active and couldn't sit down for shit. I'm not exactly at that point again, but getting very close. Feeling so great physically has really relieved a lot of my anxiety, sensory issues, the lows...it's even clearing up the psoriasis and arthritis quite nicely. The arthritis I haven't felt since like December! Psoriasis is tricky, so that is clearing, but at a slower pace. That's ok though. I'll take the progress!
Well. It's nearly a quarter past 8. I need to get ready for work. I can't wait for the weekend. No work. Just going to find shit to do on the fly. Perfect!
