Look, I don't give a shit what your religion is. The United States is not a Christian nation. Never has been and never will be. Yes, Christians came here to escape persecution, however THAT IS THE POINT!! To escape laws based on religious beliefs! Christian or any other!
SO when she took an OATH to uphold certain responsibilities as a clerk, she did so in accordance to the laws of the land, not in accordance to the Biblical Commandments or Scripture. Separation of Church and State.

The problem is that there have been too many people allowing this privilege of dominant Christian culture to exist over the years. When most were Christians. Today there are more and more people who aren't Christian and/or any other religion OR they've evolved within their religious beliefs and have made this a private and personal part of their lives, not an oppressive one. They are perfectly moral, law abiding individuals who don't need religion to guide them in life.
So now, every time something happens against their once highly regarded, and blindly accepted belief system, they cry out that there is a WAR AGAINST CHRISTIANITY AND THEIR PERSONAL FREEDOMS!!!!! What?!!!!! Oh yes. Your poor set of values and morals...trampled on by those evil non-Christians. Because this is your world and everyone else just lives in it? Not anymore. Or increasingly so not anymore.
I am glad. I enjoy watching Christianity in America become just another religion people observe instead of this dominating culture that tells me to sit down and shut up if I don't like it.
