Narnia, batteries and chap stick? one of these things does not go together

So i was in Krogers tonight buying fat free plain yogurt at 11pm... doesn't everyone?? After making my usual run through of the hair products (I'm a sucker for well marketed hair products...) in the beauty isle I got to the point and grabbed my yogurt. As i was headed to the registers (via the hair and beauty isle) i looked at a battery stand that caught my eye. It caught my eye because it had "Narnia" and a picture of Aslan at the top of the case and then a whole thing of energizer batteries. I was in Wal-Mart a while ago and i saw the same thing "Narnia" and then chap stick with flavor names based of characters from the book. What? Narnia chap stick? Was that a gift that Father Christmas left them that we missed??????? Okay my first thought was Lewis would roll over in his grave if he knew they were using Aslan to promote batteries and chapstick. Secondly i thought that whenever i have children i will teach them to boycott all attempts by marketing people to reel them in.... unless they are using their marketing skills in the realm of hair products... Then its okay. So Lewis- i am sorry our culture is vapid and money driven, and i am saddened that the character of Aslan (who represents Christ) has been lowered the equivalent of the energizer bunny... i will never buy "Lucy Apple"- i will only buy Burt's Bees (they have a good marketing team too- great logo).
