March.
The con will be here before we can even blink, and there's still so much to do. Part of me thinks we're royally screwed, and the other part agrees with the first part, but would prefer to roll with the punches instead of panicking. So it's going to be an interesting month. And then spring break is smack in the middle of everything, dropping out two club meetings and an entire week of face-to-face communication. Spring break is so inconvenient. I really considered staying, but it'd cost me an extra $200 to stay on campus for a damned week, which is hideously overpriced no matter how you look at it. Seriously, if one compares the rooming cost for an entire semester to the cost of staying in the dorms over spring break alone, one will almost certainly conclude that things do not add up. Buggering university and its financial exploitation of students. Grumble grumble.
Our treasurer really needs to get going on the t-shirts, or we will have no t-shirts for the convention. I need to do scheduling things. And I need to do that powerpoint, and coordinate my hands for that keyboard part, and figure out intros... There is no time for schoolwork this semester. Wonder if the professors would take Animarathon as an excuse...
No, probably not.
It's cold outside, because let's face it, it's only March and this is Ohio. But it's warmer than it has been in quite a while. The sky is blue, and there's a definite hint of warmth in the sunshine, and even the wind has reigned in "arctic blast" in favor of the much milder "winter chill" setting. It's enough of a thaw that I grabbed an iced coffee today instead of the usual, and I even put on a dress this morning. With tights, boots, and a jacket, of course, because I'm not crazy enough to assume that sunshine equals actual warmth (unlike certain females in their short shorts or their legging-pants), but it's nice to have a break from the infinite gray and the sideways snow and the skin-peeling wind that flings ice in one's eyes. Although I actually rather liked winter this year, I won't say no to a small hint of spring. It'll probably be gone by tomorrow, anyway.
Suppose I really should get to work on my outline for history. It's due tomorrow, and I haven't started it yet. I do want to get it done early, though, because I need to pack and whatnot. Also, it'd be nice to have some time to spend with the boy before spring break hits. Curse you, spring break. You're annoying me again. Not quite as much as winter break, but that doesn't mean you're off the hook. Why must you inconvenience me so?
Bugger, I just remembered that I need to do laundry, too. It might be wise to draw up a to-do list before I end up forgetting something relatively important. And then I should probably do things that actually need to be done.
Why the frack is my coffee gone? Oh, this just complicates everything exponentially...
