Today was my 2nd day of rotations at my community site. It's been pretty easy so far, but I know I'll progressively be doing more and more things, and hopefully by the end of 6 weeks I'll come out knowing a lot more than I do now. I've mostly been filling prescriptions, while the pharmacist quizzes me every so often on random things, mostly brand-generic stuff now. Example from today - name all the beta-blockers, brands/generic, and which ones are selective/non-selective; and also the calcium-channel blockers, NDHP, and DHP, also brand/generic, and what are the differences/ what are they used for. It's a lot of stuff that I should know, but don't/can't remember.
Anyways, I'm at a coffee shop now :] Drinking a iced chai latte and I was reading a newspaper (article on Michael Phelps) haha. I feel like a college student. The reason I'm here, though, is to use the free wi-fi that they have here... because no internet at my apartment til ~ Thursday (hopefully, if everything works out accordingly) There's a Save-Mart, the library, and this coffee shop all super close to my pharmacy that I'm working at. Literally right across the street :)
I still haven't finished unpacking at my apartment. Lots of boxes and stuff laying around everywhere... but I'll get to it eventually.
Time to head back to internet-less apartment :[
