back tomorrow

[7:28am]
Couldn’t sleep much last night, I kept waking up :\ . Well, today/ this morning we’re going to the swap meet/flea market. Shopping time!

[8:17am]
Finished eating our breakfast of bowl of noodles with added beef, broccoli, and seaweed. About to leave to catch the bus to Aloha Stadium!

[8/7/06 ~8:27am]
We caught the number 42 bus at 8:55am, after much confusion. We arrived an hour or so later, around 11am… sheesh, we didn’t think it was going to be such a far trip! The place was HUGE! We walked around for 3 hours and I’m sure we only got to a fraction of everything there was to see. The weather wasn’t too bad, but it was a bit warm, and a little humid. My dad bought some Hawaiian ice and some Pepsi to cool us down. We finally finished looking around and caught a 2:42pm transfer back to Waikiki. Got back to the hotel around 4pm, rested our tired feet for about an hour. Then we went back to the beach for one last time.

My brother actually went into the water this time, but it took a ton of coaxing… all he wanted to do was stay in the hotel all day. I wish the water back home was as nice back home as it is here. I think this is the first time we’ve actually swam in the ocean. Back home, the waves are too big, and the water’s too cold. My brother and I swam up to the barricade-this sort of wall that kept the really big waves from crashing too hard. We both managed to get up on it, before some waves knocked us back over. I don't think I could ever be a surferm besides the fact that I have a horrible sense of balance.

Oh, and I finally figured out exactly where we are the other day. It was seriously confusing me, but we are in the state of Hawaii, on Oahu Island, in Honolulu City, staying in Waikiki Beach.

Day 6 Events: (Mon. 7th)

[8:20am]
I’ve gotten very lazy keeping up with this journal lately, but I’m going to go back and start filling in the last couple days right now.

[9:47am]
I’m sitting here, watching Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends-love that show. We’re also packing everything up, because we’re checking out at 12pm. My laptop has been making funny noises for the last few days… hope it’s okay… :\ We’re stowing our luggage downstairs, and then we’re going to walk around. The shuttle’s going to take us back to the airport around 7:30pm, and we’re getting on the red-eye back home.

I’m going to miss it here. I don’t want to go back to home, back to school. It’s so nice over here. The weather’s really nice most of the time. I love that you can go out at 11pm at night, in a skirt and tank top, and not need to bring a sweater. The weather always stays in the mid 70s to mid 80s. Anyways, gotta pack up the laptop now, so I’ll finish writing this later.

[later]
We walked around the International market again for most of the day. With the exception of my mom, we were all tired, feet hurting by the end of the day. It’s amazing how long my mom can shop and not be exhausted. We were seriously walking and shopping for 6 hours straight! We then went to Chile’s for dinner, for the second time in 3 days…The waiter who served us last time saw us and recognized us, haha. We walked back to our hotel, and waited to be picked up and driven to the airport. By coincidence, our driver to the airport was the same driver who drove us to our hotel the night we arrived.

Well, it's it. No more Hawaii.

The End.

I started sorting through the pictures... so they'll be up soon! Maybe after I get bored with decorating my room tomorrow.
