I had two trainees today, which is a real pain in the ass in a restaurant. That wasn't what pissed me off -- the part that made me mad was that the second trainee had to come to me and ask if I'd let her follow me. The other servers didn't want to train her because she's old and weird. Instead of telling them to grow the fuck up the manager just let her wander around confused. And probably feeling like shit, 'cos who wouldn't in that situation?
So when the general manager's next in, I'm going to talk to him about it. None of the other managers would have let that happen, and the only reason this particular one was okay with it was because she's young and immature too, and it's her buddies who are being all catty to the new people.
I still can't believe they did that to her -- and that one of the people who pulled that shit thinks that she should be a manager when she's only worked in the restaurant for a couple of months.
