The joy of finally knowing where I'll be in January

Well, after too many weeks of waiting, Cornell got back to me on my application. They rejected me. It's not too big of a surprise, as I am not the prime academic candidate. What means more to me is that I know my options than what those options are. Frankly, even if they did accept me, I'd be worried about academic burnout and might not be able to make it through the program.

What does that mean? It means that in January, I'll be attending the University of Central Florida (http://www.ucf.edu/) in Orlando, FL. I'll be in the Master of Science in Computer Science program. Why UCF? Well, because when you look beyond academic prestige, they've probably got every possible advantage. Nothing at all like RPI, nice campus, big school, big department, tech companies in the area, etc. Besides, I've already got the RPI name on my diploma, so I don't have to worry about school names anymore.
