Dead things are usually best to get rid of. After awhile they decay. Although Endrance does keep some of the mice I kill for him!

He's ttly unfazed at Bast being a kitty.... octava_espada March 14 2008, 17:35:23 UTC
Kept in cold storage, they can be saved for later, dear child.

Bast appreciates that! thelestrangest March 14 2008, 17:45:53 UTC
I'm not a child! I'm probably older than you.

Oooh. Maybe I should get Endrance one of those. Then he can save my rats forever!

He figures talking to a cat is just as ridiculous as talking to a human, so... whatev. octava_espada March 14 2008, 17:55:44 UTC
No. I very much doubt that, given the fact that you are, by all appearances, mortal.

.....that would be the logical course of action, yes.

Bast thinks he's superior to humans. thelestrangest March 14 2008, 17:58:12 UTC
No, I'm a wizard! I just look like a cat most of the time.

That is useful. I bet I could make one. Thank you!

The same way cockroaches are superior to stink bugs, Szayel says. octava_espada March 14 2008, 18:00:21 UTC
...and wizards are immortal?

Oh, it was my pleasure, precious~

Bast reminds that cockroaches will outlive even Szayel thelestrangest March 14 2008, 18:04:20 UTC
We can be, yes. The Dark Lord was.

Hmm. I think only Endrance should get to call me 'precious'.

Szayel says..... well played, sir. Well played. octava_espada March 14 2008, 18:08:56 UTC
How eccentric. Never have I heard of a human acquiring immortality...

Interesting. Unfortunately, I refer to all people as "precious", at one time or another. You had best become used to it, my furred friend.

Bast has his one brain cell working. thelestrangest March 14 2008, 18:12:30 UTC
Oh, it happens a lot more than you would think. Less now that the Philosopher's Stone was destroyed, but another can be made.

That's strange. So what do you call people you do consider 'precious' to you?

Szayel would like to study that one brain cell very much. octava_espada March 14 2008, 18:16:55 UTC
..."Philosopher's Stone"? And, I suppose it must happen more often than I would think, as I would think it did not happen at all.

"Hojo".

Bast is pretty sure he needs that one cell. thelestrangest March 14 2008, 18:21:47 UTC
Are you a Muggle?

Hojo? Oh! Yes! I gave him a few gifts. I hope he liked them.

Szayel says.... nah, it's vestigial, everyone knows that. octava_espada March 14 2008, 18:25:25 UTC
...I am an Arrancar. I know not what a "Muggle" is.

Did you? How endearing. What a pleasant little... "wizard", was it?

Bast says oh, well, in that case... thelestrangest March 14 2008, 18:32:43 UTC
A Muggle is a person who can't use magic and doesn't have any. Pathetic creatures really. It's a mercy to kill them usually.

Yes! My name is Bast, and I'm a wizard. I'm very good at making things. Sometimes. The rest of the time, they just explode and hurt lots of people. But I've very good!

Endrance says oh HELL no. rose_rapture March 14 2008, 18:41:13 UTC
Bast darling, this nice Muggle is a friend of Father's. All Scientists are Muggles; don't listen if he says otherwise.
Don't you think he deserves a...gift for being so kind and congenial?

...How many bubbles do you have left, my love?

Bast says 'Whut? He has nice hair!' thelestrangest March 14 2008, 18:48:23 UTC
Muggle? Oh. Well. The poor man. That's just a pity when things like that happen. The family must be inconsolable.

I suppose something might be nice, but he's a Muggle. A lot of my things would hurt him. They're like little children, you know.

One or two. He might like one of those. I wonder if your father did

...you assume his family are wizards?

Hmm, true. We should be very careful about that, then.

You know, I believe he would. After all, Claire has one, and this man is almost as friendly a Muggle as she. ...don't you think?
