Saturday in London, for a Rome Burns / Dyonisis gig. Arrived pretty-much spot on the time the doors opened, and was greeted by the two lead singers who were chilling out on the sofa with pre-gig drinks.
Very glad to see Clive again - haven't see him out for so long that I was worried something bad had happened to him. I'd been to Nambucca a couple of weeks before, but couldn't remember who I'd seen. Going through my phone found photos, but I had to show Clive and say "this is getting worse - who's that?"
Opening act Last July gave a good start to the night. I don't know why, but all of us in the audience were hanging back instead of getting close to the stage.
Ghost of Lemora had the feel of a good band having a bad night.
Both Rome Burns and Dyonisis played encores by audience request; a welcome development, but it kept the headliners (Nösferatu) off stage until after I left for the last train.
