(no subject)
Thought I'd post a quick entry here since it's been so long. I'm all loud girl gone quiet.
Right now I am listening to AFI - Decemberunderground. I always disregarded them as some teenage EMO band but then I actually listened to this album and I really enjoy it. I still think they're teenage EMO but I've come to realise that teenage EMO is totally awesome.
So awesome that I think I'm heading there again..
Lately I have been working like a queen bee and trying to save as much $ as possible. I'm actually getting somewhere, which is awesome. I've also been working on my online study to attain TEFL (Teaching English As A Foreign Language) certification, which will hopefully enable me to acquire a poorly paying teaching job abroad in some countries. I don't plan to use this immediately, but it's good to have. I'm really enjoying it. In particular, the grammar study is challenging. I've always felt that I had a firm grasp of the English language, until now that I am learning all the nuts and bolts again. It's pretty cool and insane.
I have spontaneously booked a flight to Melbourne for Wednesday. I'll be staying for one week. I love having a paid week off every two weeks! The plan is to let my hair down and have some fun and insanity with my dear friends!
Early August I will be completing my weekend classroom course for TEFL and then Ian and I are off to Bali mid to late August! I have booked this hotel which should be pretty cool: Hotel Padma October will find me in the USA and then hopefully end of this year or early next year, I will be doing a working holiday or TEFL'ing in Europe! It's all pretty exciting over this side of town.
I'm really starting to miss my Melbourne friends now. I am very independent and can go long periods of time alone in crappy conditions...but life in Perth is pretty dull. I'd love to just go back to Melbourne, but I feel like it would be a step backwards at this point in time. I'm ready to continue my life journey from here...
And can I just say, the new Placebo album is mind blowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's hitting so many nerves for me right now...it's a definite life soundtrack.
