This video just reignited my love for The X-Files.
I remember being such a skeptic when my friend (applesred, in fact) told me that XF was the most amazing show ever. Well, it only took me a few episodes to get as addicted as her, and I thought that Mulder and Scully were absolutely made for each other.
For me, no other couple comes closer to MSR. Not Huddy, not A/R, not any of my other ships. It's not just that they're pretty people, or they spent six seasons in a "platonic" relationship despite the obvious UST, or even the chemistry of DD and GA. It's that...there's magic there, people. Through thick and thin, they stood by each other. (Well, almost. /looks at Mulder, the Great Ditcher of Our Time) I really can't explain why I love them so much, but their relationship really affected my early-teen self (Let's be honest, it affects me just as much now). It's real love. They were literally lovers in a dangerous time, minus the lovers part. Ugh, they make me sound like a sap.
Anyway, they'll forever be my OTP. It's gonna take something pretty special to boot them out of that spot, and frankly? I don't see it happening any time soon.
I miss this show. A big part of me wants to rewatch it, but I absolutely know I'm just going to get sucked into the fandom again. And my MSR addiction, dear Lord. It's not healthy.
