I didn't expect much of this ep, and I ended up getting more than I expected.
Not that it was great, but I guess my expectations where very low. Things I liked:
- Gwen just out of bed (pretty!)
- Donkey!Arthur. Bradley was absolutely fantastic in that scene.
- Leon!!! Yep, the man improves the (visual) quality of the episodes.
- Gawain! (Hey, it was a trailer, but it was still good :P)
- Bold!Uther being slapped by Gaius was brilliant!
- Arthur tricking Goblin!Gaius
- Gwen and Merlin. Do you have links to G/M fics? (or OT3, OT4, OT5...)
Things I didn't like:
- Gaius licking the gold. I found it very disturbing (I think they went for funny, but all I got was disturbing vibes).
- Geoffrey is a terrible librarian.
- Arthur arresting Merlin. I think that was wasted in an episode like this. I wanted Arthur to question Merlin, try to free him, etc., but in a silly!episode it just has no development and no consequences.
- Goblin!Gaius preaching Morgana about how she doesn't have a heart and stuff. Yes, we get it, S1&S2!Morgana was an illusion and the only real Morgana is the evil one.
- Farts, burps, etc...
Meh:
- Gaius dying. I was torn between cheering, feeling sorry about Merlin and knowing they wouldn't kill him in a silly!ep.
- Shirtless Arthur is getting old. It reminds me of the Baywatch girls running in slow-mo.
Other stuff:
- Camelot library has its own Restricted Section
In the "Good vs. Bad guys Tournament", the prize goes this week to the good guys thanks to Gwen in a nightdress and to Leon (Morgana had no-one to eye-sex with). So far, the bad guys lead 2-1.
