You have a one-track mind like me by anon (though I think I know who wrote this, or at least I have a couple of suspects).Summary: For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love. Or, four discoveries that shattered Merlin’s world and one that didn’t, not really, when he thought about it. (Read the warning just in case)
It was the
camelotsolstice fic for
nefernat and me (myself and
nefernat? :P ) I enjoyed so much the language used by the author and how she developed Merlin. Beautiful, clever and brilliant.
Black Canvas by anon. Written for the
kinkme_merlin prompt: Arthur/Merlin, Merlin is a 19th century bohemian artist living in Paris. He's grown cynical and bitter and is about to give up his art and get a real job when he meets young aristocrat Arthur. Arthur is rather naive and idealistic about the world and cynical Merlin is immediately attracted to his refreshing innocence. They become infatuated with each other and, much to Uther's horror, Arthur turns his back on his rich lifestyle and moves into Merlin's dingy little apartment where, when Merlin isn't painting, they spend their days fucking like rabbits.
Arpeggio by anon. Based on the
kinkme_merlin prompt: RPF, Bradley/Colin, "take me to Glasgow" (use that as you want, the sentence is from the "you're the voice" clip) It's bitter-sweet and real and I love the boys characterisations. The author gave a whole new meaning to "Glasgow" and did it beautifully, and it even has a bit of meta in it :)

And some art:
Wrapped In Warmth (NWSF) by anon (but you can probably guess the author). It's tender and hot at the same time.
