Looong weekend
Time to recap the weekend. Parents were out of town. Took full advantage.
Jose and I went to the Angel game on Thursday night. We saw one of our favorite pitchers have the worst game of his career. It’s okay though, because the drunks in our section were fun to watch. Friday was slow. Played baseball for a few hours in the afternoon and washed my car. It got dark, so I had to wait until the next morning to finish.
Woke up early on Saturday morning and finished cleaning my car, then changed and headed over to the EverythingCelica meet. I didn’t know what to expect, but it was awesome! Talking face-to-face with everyone after a year on the boards was a cool experience. By the end, there were upwards of 30 Celi’s there. Can’t wait to get all of the pictures back.
Jetted off from the meet at four. Had just enough time to change into my suit (pink tie power) and make it to the JAT/GLAJAS banquet. I was surprised to learn that we actually had won Team High Game for the season with a 765. BS’ed around there until 10, then Kevin had the idea of hitting up Casino Morongo. I’d wanted to go for a while, but I hadn’t planned to go that late at night… while wearing a suit.
Ken and I took my car and followed Kevin and Aprille out there. It took damn near an hour and a half. It’s an odd experience to legally gamble in a casino. Playing $5-$25 hands of Black Jack, I managed fluctuate between being way up and damn near broke. During my last hand, I was down to just $2.50 in my hand and the $25 in chips on the table. Thank god I won… actually went home a few bucks ahead. All of us are thinking about going back again this week.
Finally walked in my door after 4am. Got everything ready for the morning, then had a nice hour and a half of sleep before leaving for JAT. Managed to make cut there, then fall apart in match play because of my elbow. Got home at three and napped.
I drove somewhere in the 400 mile range this weekend… now I must rest…. -_-
