I am the happiest I have been in so long. You'd think it was cause I had a fabulous date with an amazing guy right?

However, I signed on to myspace tonight for the first time in weeks and i have an event invitation, now I usually ignore them because they are always from Ryan inviting me to a show or Gary inviting me to a show but I always know when their shows are anyway. Tonight I decided to look and I see an invitation from HOT SAUCE JOHNSON to their show on Monday night.
I'm pretty positive that I've never spoken about this band to anyone. I was depressed for days when they broke up. I have not seen them play a show in 4 years. This band is seriously one of my favorite bands EVER. I don't have one favorite band, I don't believe it's fair to pick one band...there are just too many out there. I fell in love with this band the first time I saw them. They were different, they fused a lot of my favorite types of music and they came out at a time when rap rock had taken over the radio. It was right as I was first starting out in the music biz. I had only written a few things for Mean Street and JR emailed all of us writers about doing a feature on this band, I jumped at the chance. I met Jason and Possum at the office of their record company and interviewed them, they instantly became my friends. I'd run into them at shows, they always made sure I was at their LA shows. Seeing them always made me happy, it was before I was jaded, before I was bored by most music out there. I still listen to them and it makes me happy. AND now they're back together, playing a show and I cannot tell you how much I needed this good news. I was beginning to lose hope, and it's so funny how something like this just changes your whole perspective on life. in 30 seconds i felt rejuvenated.
This is much better and a really good first date...this is your true love coming back because they realize they were better with you than w/out you...
