Teaching moments

Some moments of teaching are only too good to be true. Yesterday, I was reading my kids "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe, and I had just read the line in the first verse, "...tapping at my chamber door." when someone knocked on our classroom door. It was such a perfect moment for the reading of the "spooky" poem, I just had to laugh. Some of the kids were seriously shocked at the timing. I don't know how well they understood the poem itself, but they sure remember that part!
