At a shopping centre today I witnessed a most interesting sight. There was a young boy of about five or six out with his parents and younger brother, throwing a little hissy fit and running in front of them. He was stamping his feet and railing on about something while weaving between the knees of other shoppers. At the same time, a lady came by carrying a baby, its arms dangling down as it just sort of sat and stared at its mother. The boy stamped his way under the baby, who reached out and serenely copped him on the head. He then turned around, momentarily stunned, and in a humpfh walked off quickly.
