[A man is dragging a large, heavy crate to the center plaza of the town, near the fountain. If anyone is watching, they will see him finally stop near one of the benches, have a seat down and wipe his forehead. After a moment he'll stand again, reach over and attempt to pry the crate open. He is met with little success ( Read more... )

[Rosalie is standing under the shade, observing as the man struggles to open the crate. She catches a glint of something metallic from inside the box. She calls out to him.]

What is that?

[Oh crap, that hot vampire chick. Granted, they're both married, but Jacob's only human. He'd better keep this brief before her charms really kick in.] Point of view gun.

[Curious how, she heads in his direction, peering down at the box. Don't mind the sparkles.]

What does it do?

[He sees the sparkles. It's amazing that one vampire here bursts into flame in the sunlight while others just glitter like a freaking pop star.]

Gives people your point of view. Want?

[She thinks about it. Might be useful one of these days.]

All right. Though I can't imagine what I would use it for.

[ooc: It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure what would happen afterwards. So Rose would sympathize with the Malnosso. Will she offer to help them?]

Don't you just pull the trigger?

[[She could, but there's nothing she could do about it anyway. She'd just understand why Jacob does what he does; it's really not horrifically drastic, he's not very vehement. ...she'd probably sympathize without it, anyway.]]

That's the easy part, yes.

[ooc: Shoot away! This will only last for about 24 hours, right? And does she still get a gun?xD]

And the hard part is?

[[24 at the most; you can end it much sooner, if you like. And sure, she can still have her own.]]

Sharing your opinion without talking.

Oh, you can. You just don't have to.

[She raises an eyebrow.] What's so hard about that?

Well- [That totally counts as consent, in Jacob's opinion. So he hefts the gun and fires.

Rosalie should be able to identify very strongly with the point of view that washes over her; Jacob's desperation to get home, to return to the one person he wants to spend the rest of his life with. His willingness to do absolutely anything to make that come true, even when he knows it's wrong, that it hurts many other people.

Though that he also thinks that in the end, this is what's best for the world. She may or may not identify with that on some level.]

[A long silence as she processes Jacob's point of view. Not that much different from hers.]

...I see.

That'll wear off in a bit. Though you might not notice it.

[He holds the gun out to her.] Interested now?
