no official declamation for national candidates but i think it's safe to say that's it's basically already in the bag...
noynoy aquino, son of the late filipino hero ninoy aquino and former president corazon cojuanco-aquino is the new president...
jejomar binay, former makati mayor is the new vice president of the philippines...
i don't really hate these two people...because hate is such a strong word...i just...well..i dislike them...both...noynoy's track record in the congress and in the senate could might as well be equivalent to a new etch-a-sketch board..blank...not to mention he still has to face that hacienda luisita massacre that happened back in 2007 i think...binay..well binay did a good job in makati that much i can say but i wonder how he would fare in national government?
now don't get me started with the 12 senators...seriously...bong revilla? (an actor) Jinggoy Estrada? merriam defensor-santiago? tito sotto? (an actor) Lito lapid? (an actor) BONG BONG MARCOS??? what the hell?! are you people insane! our country suffered for 20+ years because of those fucking marcoses and now you're placing them back? fyi: as of last count imelda marcos is winning her congressional race in ilocos...imee marcos is winning her governor/mayor race also in ilocos and now bong bong is in the top 12...damn it...*sigh*
and to make matters worse that little dwarf won by a landslide in the congressional race in her district in pampanga...president gloria macapagal-arroyo is now congresswoman gloria macapagal arroyo...how fucked up is that?! i swear...that little lady..no matter how much of a dwarf she is...she scares the hell out of me...
oh and manny pacquiao won the saranggani congressional race...o_O'
so yeah...that's philippine politics for you...traditional politicians, members of political dynasties and actors basically rule it...
I know i don't have the right to complain or anything because i didn't vote this previous election but all the more reason why i would have felt betrayed and disappointed if ever i was able to cast my vote and end up with such results anyway...this will be the last time you'll hear me complain about the result of the elections...at least for the next hundred days or so...xD
on a lighter note...my friend...and former schoolmate/classmate in STC and a relative of my uncle's wife, Alyson Medalla won as councilor in district 2 of Q.C...and my uncle...tito soviet won as distrct concilor as well in kalibo aklan...maybe i should run next elections..? LOL! like that would ever happen...XD
