Just an update

-I finished my final paper of the semester! Yay. I hope it lives up to the expectations of my first draft, and that I can get the Best Brief Award in my Legal Practice Skills section!

-Conbust. It was epic win. The Smithee Awards and the Geek Dance, especially, were fun. However, making up my own B movie in an improv game was an unexpected source of fun as well. I also (sort of...) learned a craft called naalbinding, which is like the bastard child of knitting and crocheting.... FROM SCANDANAVIA!!! I can't wait till next year's con already! I also enjoyed seeing most if not all of my friends at Smith, and visiting my old hangout spots. I think I have also made some new friends, which is always good.

-Now I'm really homesick for Northampton though. My mind is in the state of "screw it, I can deal with PVTA and commuting out if I need to go to a doctor, I MISS NOHO!" I plan to go back sometime this next month, hopefully, and visit the places I didn't get to this time around.

-I may be adopting my foster cat, Arya. She will probably be at least staying with me and Goya over the summer in NH. She's a good kitty. :3

-Speaking of which, I got the apartment I liked in Concord. I get the attic, which is really awesome-looking in my mind. The slanting roofs also give me an odd feeling of comfort, actually. I will have to live without a bath tub (yes, this is a big deal to me!), but at least that will only be for 4 days out of the week.

-I now have an internship lined up for the fall at the Disability Law Center in Boston - located conveniently only 5 minutes away by walking from my school. I will probably be working there for about 15 hours a week. Woot.

-My surgery (if I knew how to do those TMI tag things, I would specify, but for those few who don't know the deal, it might be a bit squicky) is scheduled for June 4th at 7:30. Thankfully, it should be a quick recovery - taking only a couple of days. However, I have to miss a day of work for it. Boo. I also have to have not one but two pre-op appointments about a week before. Meh. However, not coming close to bleeding to death will make it well worth it.

-Oral arguments, at least in my case, are happening next Friday. I honestly don't know what to think. On the one hand, I am not prone to stage fright (thank you, fifteen years of piano lessons!). On the other, I feel a HUUUGE amount of pressure to be good, mostly self-imposed, because I am one of the people who speaks up in class all the time and thus I should be good at doing this. I hope I don't make an obvious screwup.

-I am going to talk to my school adviser tomorrow about picking classes. I have a list of classes I am interested in taking... and some of which are semi-required but, hopefully, will be cool or at least well-taught. Yay, I finally get to make my own schedule!

-I am currently reading the first book of the Temeraire series, which was recommended and given to me by my friend actourdreams (on here - sorry, again, I fail at formatting). I am enjoying it a lot, and have already bought the last two books published that were not included in the collection. I really hope I get a chance to do a lot of fun reading over the summer.

-Still mad at that person who I talked about last post. For that and other reasons. And sad over what happened between us too, honestly. Thankfully, not enough to try to start up contact again or anything.

-I'm going to Anime Boston this weekend! With any luck, I will actually get to meet Nobuo Uematsu, the composer for the Final Fantasy game series, who will be attending. SQUEE. *music geek*

-One of these days I will ACTUALLY start on making A Song of Ice and Fire plushies... and finish that sweater I was working on, once I find more yarn for it.

-I need to work on my client letter. That being said, I ALMOST missed the deadline for turning another LPS assignment in today, but I turned it in at 11:50P.M. Ha-hah! I win.

-I should be asleep. Seriously.
