Castle leaves me breathless.
As much as I love HIMYM and TBBT, I have some Issues with them. I love HIMYM, I really do, but the past two seasons have been... painful. The Barney/Robin situation has left me shaking my head. While Ted has improved, there's so much that has gone downhill. And while I've always acknowledged that I get slapped upside the head by the male gaze and the not-so-subtle misogyny in the show, this week was... a lot of that.
And I love TBBT, I love the dialogue, but honestly... Everyone seems to adore the character of Sheldon except for me. I think Jim Parsons is absolutely fantastic and an amazing actor, but the character drives me up a wall. Love Penny, love Raj, love Leonard. Have Wolowitz and Sheldon issues.
But... hey, Evil Wil Wheaton!
And don't even GET me started on the past few seasons of House.
Castle, however, has been my little slice of Monday night perfection. Sure, there's a certain goofy factor. Sure, the police work is... interesting. But goddammit, I love me some Kate Beckett, and I love me some Rick Castle. And this week. Blew. My. Mind. DAMN YOU TWO PARTER. I *ache* for more, and that is a nice feeling in a season of shows that otherwise leaves me restless.
