The Sun Always Shines on TV

Here's another story for the fillathon.  It's for this prompt about 80s Dan and is set to the tune "The Sun Always Shines on TV" by A-ha. This is one of my first attempts at writing a true songfic. I tried to make it mostly angsty to match the song, but I couldn't help myself when it came to the ending, so I hope the original prompter doesn't mind some happiness in there and still enjoys the story.

I don't own any of the music or lyrics mentioned in this story, just as I don't own any of the characters created by the producers.
