LINKSANO READY TO FLING HIMSELF OFF THE STAIRS TO SAVE THE CYBERMAT! OH MY GOSH! X333

Linksano’s jaw dropped as he observed them dodging around chair legs and corners, twirling in concentric circles, and beeping a most melodious chorus of greetings to each other. “They are… so beautiful,” Linksano whispered, worried that if he spoke too loudly, he would scare them off.

*SQUEALS AND FLAILS* HE’S SO ADORABLE!!! HE LOVES THE CYBERMATS AND THINKS THEY’RE BEAUTIFUL AND IS ALL NERVOUS ABOUT SCARING THEM OFF HE’S JUST TOO CUTE.

“Wait! Come back!” he called out as he chased after them, caution thrown completely to the wind. Linksano ran as fast as his little legs would carry him

“So you are a scientist,” Linksano replied, voice filling with awe.

I love this line so much. Linakra is pretty much always seen primarily as a magic user, with focus on his magic gun and enchanted items. But little Oscar sees him as a scientist, someone who makes robots and has amazing tools. I really like that. It’s such a sweet little moment.

“Can I?” Linkara bit his lip to hold back his laughter when Linksano cradled the tool in his arms as if it were a baby. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” Linksano said, tracing his fingers along the cool metal. “If I had a tool like this one, I could make so many amazing inventions.”

GAH! HE’S JUST SO CUTE AND I CANNOT SAY THAT ENOUGH TIMES! And when I read this, I can just hear the longing in his voice.

And I love the whole progression from “Oh, would you stop whining about your pulpy trash books. Aren’t you supposed to be the grown-up here?” to “Um, sir, could I maybe stay and watch as you fix that Cybermat? Please? I promise I won’t touch anything and I’ll be very quiet, even if it takes hours to fix.”

He looked not at all like the happy, confident teenager Harvey knew well, but instead like a scared, lost child. Which Harvey quickly realized he now was.

I liked this part, how Harvey was trying to be all cool at first but then realized that he wasn’t dealing with someone to impress, but a scared little kid. And then his parental instincts kick in.

“I’m Harvey, by the way,” he introduced in a softer voice, “and this place is where I live. I know your probably don’t understand why you’re here, but I promise you nothing bad is gonna happen.

Heehee, it’s cute how early 90s Kid was saying ‘dude’.

“At least now you’re all filled up… with sugar and chocolate… boy, I didn’t think that one through.

And gah! 90s Kid is so cute rambling about Pokemon and how impressed he is by Harvey’s abilities.

It had been two hours and he was still only halfway through Linksano’s notebook, and only a quarter sure that he even understood anything he’d been reading. Why must the mind of a mad scientist be so incomprehensible?

Linkara, there’s a key word in the term ‘mad scientist’ I’m not sure you’re getting. XD

“Great Fitzwilliam Notebook! I’ve done it!”

“Don’t you ever make sense?” Linkara snapped before realizing what he’d done.

Linkara really needs to get that temper of under control. :P Also, Linksano is so cute with his little science-y exclamations. :3

“Oh, um, y-yes, I am,” Linksano replied, flushing bright red with pleasure at the compliment. “But thank you for saying so, sir. It’s nice to be complimented.”

Gah! Linkara calls him Linksano, and it confuses him because he’s not Linksano yet, he’s still just Oscar and he’s so adorable rubbing his eyes under his goggles really this fic is just the cutest thing!

“You know, you can just call me Linkara.”

“Oh. Alright, Mr. Linkara.” Linkara shook his head and gave up.

I love how Oscar is so polite. (Lol, if he likes you that is.)

Lol, yes, Linksano will risk great injury in the name of SCIENCE! I think he acquired a few bumps and bruises as a kid while working on his own experiments, the poor thing.

I'm really glad you find little Oscar so cute! He does love the Cybermats and all robots/cyborgs very much and just wants to study them, as if they were animals out in the wild.

I'm also glad you found that moment of admiration sweet. Though Linkara is a magic-user, he is also a scientist, which tends to get ignored a lot on the show. I wonder if his only real science knowledge involved building different kinds of robots, weapons, and communication devices? I know Linksano can do more than him, but that is still quite a lot of talent Linkara has.

Hehe yes, once you have little Oscar's respect, he will stop acting like a brat and will show you respect. Especially if you possess wonderful science gadgets he longs to play with, lol.

Yes, Harvey's paternal instincts are a bit rusty, but they kick in when he needs them. Hehe, I think it's funny that little 90s Kid was saying dude that early as well. He must have watched a lot of surfer movies as a boy, lol.

90s Kid is always cute! And so are Pokemon! So the combination of the two must be super cute! XD

No, Linkara truly does not understand the terms 'mad scientist', lol.
