breakup rules and retail therapy

I watched Sex & the City tonight. Carrie was trying to get over Big so she comes up with these breakup rules. Breakup Rule Number Four is something like: "Never stop thinking about him, because that is when you'll run into him."

So true. JT has been on my mind so much lately that I had stopped thinking about my other ex, MWK. Well, I ran into him twice at work last week! Twice. What are the chances of that? Actually, we work for the same company so it does happen every so often. But two days in a row? The first time we talked for a little while. Mostly about work stuff. He is the one & only person I can talk to about work & not hold anything back. He knows what it's like. His work situation is worse than mine. We kind of have this pact that if either of us ever gets a new job, especially if we are able to get a job outside the company, we will tell the other person. I know there has to be something better out there for both of us. The second time we ran into each other, he was with some coworkers & they were off to a meeting, so we didn't get to talk. I am glad things are cool between us. After all we went through, we somehow managed to stay friends.

Carrie also had this to say:
No matter who broke your heart, or how long it takes to heal, you'll never get through it without your friends.

I really think that the reason I have had such a hard time getting through this breakup is because I don't have any close girl friends anymore.

Anyway, enough about that. I had a really good weekend. One of the best weekends I've had in awhile. Friday night I worked. It was pretty dead. One of the servers was flirting with me all night. He's so cute. :) I already wrote about my great night last night. Saturday & today, I did A LOT of shopping. I bought so much stuff. It was great! I got:
-Philosophy The Ultimate Diet (Cinnamon Buns shower gel & body souffle) and Cinnamon Buns lip balm
-Clinique moisturizer
-Express gray tank top with sequins along the bottom
-White Sox World Series t-shirt (yes, I'm a dork. ha)
-purple velvet blazer from Gap
-green hooded shirt from Gap
-workout clothes at Target
-VS undies with stars on them
-Pumpkin Spice latte from Starbucks

Plus, I got my eyebrows threaded today. The girl did a really good job.

Oh & tonight I watched "Grey's Anatomy." It was SO good. I really wish I watched this show from the beginning! The ex & I used to watch Desperate Housewives together and he'd want to change the channel afterwards because he doesn't like all that gory hospital stuff.

That's it. Hope everyone had a good weekend & happy Halloween!
