I realized as I was inserting pictures into that last monstrous post that I didn’t cover some awesome things from this last school year, so I figured I’d do them here in this post.
I went to Kumori Con for a day in Portland. Overall… really not impressed. I’ve been spoiled by Fanime and Y-Con. The good news - hello
new kimono AND
new wedding kimono! Best finds. Cost me $60 for both.
We had a blast at the 10th anniversary
Yaoi Con. Great opportunity for networking, interviewing, and just having fun. I always volunteer so I’ve never got free time. I wish I’d been able to get a bodice; even one fitted. I did finally get one fitted from the vendor at
Sakura Con… but it is $425. :( I don’t think I can have that.
My roommates are very entertaining. Hence,
the flasher incident and
Mikee’s first snowman (Hawaiian style). It snowed
TWICE which was hysterical as I’d been gone for all the snow the previous year. Of course, it had to snow right before Holly, Rachel, and I drove to California for Thanksgiving. Thanks Mother Nature. Oh, if you’re driving down I5, grab lunch or dinner at
Toshi’s Ramen in Eugene.
YUM!!! Rachel was also required to meet
Babe, the Big Blue Ox, at Trees of Mystery.
We went for Indian food for Holly’s birthday…
with Pikachu. Really.
Hit the
Tillamook Cheese Factory (finally) and pranked Holly’s room for April Fools with
Twilight. Asian Day was crazy as I handled the food.
Rachel danced. We also had the student
drag show, which was pretty damn awesome. As usual.
We did the Medieval Faire and took interesting pictures of ourselves, i.e.
Holly,
Jazmin,
Katie,
Valerie,
me.
On the family front, one of my sisters is expecting her first child, so I've got a new niece on the way, too! Her baby shower is this weekend. :)
I think that about sums up the randomness. Now I can start doing current updates, I think.
