Another couple very promising properties on the market this morning...
241 acres, includes 14 acres of lake frontage, possibly dividable, house needs work but then that's what we wanted.
This one is nice, but we'd really have to wheel and deal on the 'more acreage'
And in very good news, this house up the street - one of the ones that have sprung up overnight in the 3 years we've been here.... we have twice the land, more privacy, a garage, a 24x24 garage/shed/stable. We've got 200 sq ft more room, and an unfinished basement, our bedrooms are huge comparatively speaking. If this sells for the asking price or close to it, we could be looking at over $400K - that would make me very very happy. There really aren't a lot of comparable properties around here - one of the problems our bank had with doing an assessment for mortgage purposes - so it's been hard to get a good feel for what we will get. However, I'm also more convinced than ever that the money and work we've put into updating the finishes around the place has been very worth it.
