wow.. two days in a row!
Today was an emotional day. After lunch break i got in my car and it decided not to start. So i walked to work (seeing as it's only across the street). I got out of work an hour early to get started on figuring out my car, and found my Simmons financial aid package FINALLY in my mail box. Thank the christ.. anyway, they actually decided to be kinda nice to me this year and raised my grant money about $4.5 G. Lucky for me. So that was good. Then my dad and I jump-started my car and decided that, ontop of it taking WAY too long for the battery to rejuice, it's probably just as old as the car, about 10 years, and the terminals just keep caroding even after we clean them every time, so I told him that it was time for me to just get a new battery altogether and we brought it down to the garage down the street. While I was there I asked the guy about my exhaust pipe that just so happened to FALL off a couple months ago and he said he'd get that priced for me by tomorrow and the battery would be done too. YAY! And then we drove down to an autobody shop and got an estimate on getting my front driver's side fender fixed (something my MOM should have taken care for me a LONG time ago.. guess where I get my procrastination from??) and after all is said and done, it will cost a good $575 for the parts and labor, not including any kind of paint blending. I decided I could live without the exact matching of red, I just want to pass inspection for November.. cause I'm STILL set on getting a jeep next summer. OH.. I WILL! lol
So I get home to tell my mom about how I'm paying to get an oil change, fixed exhaust and new battery (my dad will prob help with SOME of it) and that I would help pay $300 for the fender and she flies of the handle.. like I should pay for most of something SHE DID. I DON'T THINK SO! Yeah, I gave her a lot of shit.. and needless to say everythings done and over with, and I'm still paying the $300. I'm sure my dad will help with some of the other expenses.
And ontop of that, I feel like a fatkid today because of my mom telling me it looked like I gained weight yesterday.. who says that?!?!
Now I'm packing for school and trying to relax for the rest of the night.
That was a long post. I just thought I'd state the obvious. Hasta Lavisto baby..
