Celebrity Look-A-Likes
Last night for whatever reason I started poking around on cryobank.com. Apparently they have this thing where their donors profiles now list a couple of "celebrity look a likes"; and you can search based on those celebs. So i googled up a site where I could upload a picture of my husband and it would tell me who he looked like. It gave me several celebrities who looked nothing like him, and one who somewhat resembled him. Then I went over to the cryobank site again, and found that the one reasonable match isn't on their list. So I google image searched through all the names on their list.
It's weird.
Someday I'll be able to tell my children "We picked your donor because your daddy sorta looks like this celeb, and your donor said they sorta looked like this celeb, and so we just hoped for the best".
It also started a conversation with my husband about whether we want a donor who is open to having our child contact them when they are 18. It turns out we have very different feelings on this. I'm not even sure where to start with that.
