Delta Gamma
I was feeling really unsure about going to the last party for Rush on Friday night but I decided to go and I am glad that I did. It was at this really nice house and they had a really nice ceremony. Sara Jane was my freshman seminar leader and I talked with her that night. She told me that every girl I had talked to throughout the week liked me a lot and they really wanted me to join their sororiety. The ceremony consisted of a group of girls telling their story or saying something good about DG. The thing that I really liked was they kept emphasizing the individual, that each girl still kept their individuality, they didn't have to conform or fit some mold. Spring Hill is such a small school and our sororieties, especially DG, are not your stereotpical ones. They have all the girls that rush and receive a bid do this running down the stairs initiation. All the sororities are outside and anyone else who wants to come, then we go one by one, find out what sororiety we go into, then run down the stairs of Murray Hall to outside and everyone's cheering. It was actually a lot of fun. Then last night we slept over with the whole sororiety to get to know everybody. I like how everyone is so down to earth, a lot of them are hilarious, and everyone seems different, not all the same. I'm really glad I decided to do it. Sam and Rachael both joined with me too so I am excited about that.
From all the stress from this week and not sleeping enough, now I am sick. I hate it. I think it's a virus too so they can't give me drugs to make it go away. I hope it is a short virus and it will go away soon.
My cell-phone died! How the hell did this happen? I need my phone. I hope this means that I automatically get a new one. I need to find out what my contract says. Don't they have a 10 year warranty or something? I need a new phone anyways. I've had this one for over a year now and the front screen is cracked.
