Wonderful/sad
Wonderful: It is the birthday of my wonderful friend prosicated and I give endless thanks that she was born. It occurs to me suddenly that my closet is lacking in orange and green with which to mark the occasion. ;)
Sad: I just heard that Rory Root of Comic Relief passed away. Anyone who ever went to his store or one of the artist signings will remember him as an awesome guy. He figures prominently in my oft-quoted meeting with Warren Ellis. Mostly, he was beloved by many in the comics scene and his store was a great place to be and hang out. I'm sure it won't be the same without him.
EDIT: /more wonderful, thank god: just also found out that a friend of mine from the SF comic scene was just nominated for an Eisner! Go Matt!!
