I'm trying to write my one essay-based midterm that isn't supposed to be in spanish, and I literally can't. Every time I start trying to form a sentence, I think of it in spanish instead of english. This is making my life extremely difficult. It gets easier though, because then I realize that it is supposed to be in english, and that I DO know the word for "device" in english, and life is so much better. But it would be EVEN better if I just stayed in english for now. This is the first essay I've had to write in english since last year. Can you imagine?
EDIT: No really, it's two hours-ish later and I'm getting better, but every time I try to use a connecting word like "however," "in spite of," or "so that" all that keeps coming up in my head are "sin embargo," "a pesar de que," and "asi que". It's a huge problem. Especially since I actually don't know as many connecters in spanish as in english, but I can only thing of the spanish ones; it's like the english ones don't even exist anymore. Shit.
